1. Who we are

ChiselIQ is operated by Klovant Tech Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. Where this policy refers to a "data controller", that controller is Klovant Tech Private Limited. You can reach us at hello@chiseliq.com.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers information handled through:

• The ChiselIQ marketing website (this site), including the contact form.
• The ChiselIQ software you run on top of Claude Code.

It does not cover third-party websites, tools or platforms you connect to ChiselIQ, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

3. Your data stays with you

The content ChiselIQ produces — topics, briefs, outlines, drafts, packages and reports — together with its per-client tracker, are files you control and own. By default this data stays with you. Klovant does not receive, store, or have access to your clients' content as part of normal operation.

4. Information we collect

4.1 Information you provide to us

• Contact & enquiry data — when you submit the "Talk to us" form, we collect the name, work email, client count and message you enter, so we can respond.
• Account & billing data — if you become a customer, we collect the details needed to set up and bill your plan (e.g. company name, contact person, billing information handled by our payment processor).
• Support communications — messages you send us by email.

4.2 Information collected automatically

• Website usage — basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring URL, collected by our web host and any analytics we use, to keep the site secure and understand aggregate usage.

4.3 Information we do not collect

• We do not collect or store your clients' content, briefs, drafts or trackers.
• We do not sell your personal data.

5. How we use information

• To respond to your enquiries and provide the Service you request.
• To set up, operate, secure and bill your account.
• To improve the website and the product in aggregate.
• To send service-related communications (e.g. onboarding, security, billing). We only send marketing messages where permitted, and you can opt out at any time.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Our legal bases for processing (where applicable) include your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service, and compliance with law.

6. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the website and business, which may process limited data on our behalf, including:

• Web hosting and content delivery for this site.
• Email delivery for enquiry and transactional messages.
• Payment processing for customers (card details are handled by the processor, not stored by us).
• Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the site loads its fonts.

Optional connectors you configure inside ChiselIQ (e.g. keyword/SERP tools, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or a local LLM endpoint) are used under credentials you supply and are governed by those providers' policies.

7. Cookies & analytics

This marketing website is intentionally lightweight. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics and strictly necessary storage (for example, remembering your theme preference in the product dashboard). Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Data retention

We keep enquiry and account data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to comply with legal, accounting or reporting requirements, and to resolve disputes. Enquiry messages that do not lead to a relationship are deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period. Your local ChiselIQ data is retained by you and deleted whenever you delete the files.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information under our control. Within the product, API keys live in an encrypted keystore, credentials are never written to plain files, and secrets are not echoed into logs or the dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what data is transmitted.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@chiseliq.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

11. Children's privacy

ChiselIQ is a business tool and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
